xrayman49 0 #1 Posted November 5, 2015 My blade's tag says model 6411-9 and the other number is 1014229. I do not see reference to these number. The plate does say Wheel Horse. Is this the correct blade and what number should I be looking at for parts diagram. Also is there a manual for the blade on line? Thanks in advance! This is the closest thing I can find. The only reference even close to that model number I can find is for a completing kit, which is the frame, basically. The blade was added on. 6-4112 and so on. I did find in the manuals section a model 6-4114-9, and it was a completing kit too. Do you have a picture of the plow and frame? Is the tag you found on the blade, or on the frame? WNYPCRepair 1,923 #4 Posted November 5, 2015 Try this, see if it matches http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/2959-blade-dozer-54in-1974-6-4114-a-frame-om-ipl-snpdf/
xrayman49 0 #5 Posted November 5, 2015 That seems to be the one I have. My upper and Lower control rods have been replaced with stiff wire. Is the a place to find a users manual on how to install it under tractor?
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,512 #6 Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) This 42" is the same file as the 54" one abovehttp://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/2857-blade-dozer-42in-1974-6-4114-a-frame-om-ipl-snpdf/but goes with the 42" model 6-9624 blade for the long and short frame tractors.http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/714-blade-dozer-42in-1974-blade-6-9624-om-ipl-snpdf/The dozers at the time came in two packages so they could mix and match. The 54" blade was available for the 16hp tractors. The -9 at the end of the model number is not used but tells us it is a 1974 model.Garry Edited November 5, 2015 by gwest_ca
WNYPCRepair 1,923 #7 Posted November 5, 2015 That seems to be the one I have. My upper and Lower control rods have been replaced with stiff wire. Is the a place to find a users manual on how to install it under tractor? Check the owner's manual above. The rod from the squeeze handle to unlock for rotation should be stiff wire, The one from the bottom of the handle to the blade to physically rotate it is a rod approximately 3/8" diameter. Installing is easy, the rod at the back of the frame connects to the rear axle quick attach, then the lift mechanism is connected to the lift point in the middle. Mount the handle on the plow, and you are good to go.
