Brian01 481 #76 Posted November 10, 2015 I think they would help so you can take the water hose or air blower to it but if you really want to get it good and clean i would think you still need to pull the whole cover off but i could be wrong and i know its a pain to pull the whole engine but i was able to get it clean and give everything a good inspection yeah, if I was gonna take the time to clean it thoroughly, I'd pull the engine anyway..."if your gonna do something, do it right" type thing. Snowmobileaddict 403 #77 Posted November 10, 2015 Here's the scoop on 522xi belts and bearings with the 52" deck you have. The belt on the mower deck that connects all 3 spindles is an A-Section belt, its an A101. The belt from the PTO clutch, through the mule drive to the center spindle is a B-Section belt. B94.Get the belts on the cheap from http://www.vbelts4less.com/ I've got it made because they are local to me and I don't even pay shipping. I just go to will call and pick em up.The bearings in the deck spindles are generic 6205-2RS , you'll need a 6 pack of them.

Snowmobileaddict 403 #82 Posted November 10, 2015 (edited) You're welcome!ive had good luck with Phoenix Pulley too. There are several standard v-belt idlers in the deck or mule drive that match up to generic industrial ones too.http://shop.phoenix-mfg.comill see if I can find them. I know I replaced a deck belt idler, and an idler on my quiet collector with them.On the mule drive I think I popped the rubber seals off the bearings with a dentist pick and repacked them with a needle greaser attachment and then popped the seals back on. slammer302 2,156 #86 Posted November 10, 2015 The medium cut cleaner and a foam buffing wheel on my drill works well but you have to use a swirl and scratch remover polish after using it Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

Looks like a lot of hand work but I like your idea of a drill! Gals van needs it worse than my tractor! Wonder what she would say if she caught me making my tractor look nicer than her van? Probably couldn't post her comments here... Heck! Might not be able too! She's out of town for a few days. Might be my only chance! Bought it while she was gone but if I make it look like new she will notice it. Gads! Decisions, decisions!
