jasonw 17 #1 Posted November 1, 2015 I found my third wheelhorse on craigslist a few weeks ago. This one is a c-161 manual trans with a custom built trailer (previous owner was an aircraft mechanic) and built a really nice trailer with an aluminum bottom. The tractor has been repainted by the previous owner and stored inside a shed for many years. I just wish these were not so expensive in Texas.
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,534 #2 Posted November 1, 2015 Very nice for sure. Running a rubber mounted 16hp kohler with gear drive. Can't beat that set up.
Sparky-(Admin) 23,162 #3 Posted November 1, 2015 I don't know what you paid, but that's a sharp looking machine! It wouldn't be all that cheap (in that shape) around here either.Mike........
JackC 617 #4 Posted November 1, 2015 I do not see a spec of rust on that. Those wheels are about as clean as they come.Don't know what you paid but based on the condition it was worth it.That can go right back on the showroom floor along with that neat trailer.

jasonw 17 #8 Posted November 2, 2015 I can't find pics of the c-175 that I restored a few years ago...but here is a youtube video of it.https://youtu.be/2tMwmcoGhusThe 10hp diesel has enough torque to go through tall grass and pull my 16' trailer without a problem...just hold on.I am working on my c161 auto that until now was 100% original from 1978. The deck has been patched, but it is beefed up really nice now. The c161 auto has the fiberglass hood and rear fender, but they are in nice shape. I did have to trim the left side of the hood to clear the air filter on the predator engine that is going in it. When it is done, it will be a working machine, not a show unit..it will get a descent paint job and some new ag style tractor tires.

jasonw 17 #12 Posted November 2, 2015 yes..it has a dump lever that has a rope attached and can be dumped from the seat...all custom built and done really nice. The previous owner said he could build anything from a picture. I will pull it out of the shed in the next few days (just had almost a foot of rain this weekend) and get some pics of it.
