boovuc 1,090 #1 Posted November 1, 2015 I had to find my front yard before the trick or treaters would be swallowed up in it.First pick taken a week ago is just part of the mature Oaks and Hickory we have in the neighborhood. The development is older and was called "Haven Pines". Should have been "Acorn Way", "Deciduous Acres", or "Squirrel Haven". The hardwoods outnumber the pine trees 4 to 1. Biggest mast crop of nuts I have ever seen in my neck of the woods. Like walking on marbles everywhere! I loaded the trailer up 6 times before I could mow the grass and grind the remaining leafs. The loader would get the leafs if you put the bucket on float and hit the pile fast. I quit using it after three of the 10 or so piles in the front yard. It was easier just to pick them up with the rake by hand except for how my back felt this morning! Of course the Mets blowing another game last night didn't help either!
Brrly1 1,146 #2 Posted November 1, 2015 Quite the haul of leaves but there's no doubt you've done it a few times. Good equipment makes life a whole lot easier. No trees in my yard but my neighbors make up for it. Looks like my neighbors he always doing something in his yard. Yours looks good, keep up the good work
DougC 2,643 #3 Posted November 1, 2015 Leaves are beautiful this time of year until they end up on the ground. I like the equipment I see in your pictures and admire your engineuity using the loader to eliminate part of the work......
Wishin4a416 2,191 #4 Posted November 1, 2015 Beautiful Pictures. You have a lot more leaves still on compared to us in the Eastern part of the state. We have had some terrible Wind lately.Looks like you have the equipment to handle it.
rick 257 #5 Posted November 1, 2015 Nice work! I live in the woods, so I blow the leaves into a pile, and use the blade to push them into the edge of the woods. Next year they are compost.

squonk 43,835 #7 Posted November 1, 2015 Love the fall. I use one of those Flowtron leaf shredders. Fits right on top of a garbage can. You can bag them in one step or just load the can and dump them in the garden like I do. I turned 6 sweeper loads in to 4 30 gal can loads.
ronhatch 406 #8 Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) We have lots of old Oak and Hickory trees, not to mention a ton of squirrels too. In the passed, my neighbor used his bucket to push the leaves around too. I couldn't believe how well it worked. But I see this year he's vacuuming them up. dcrage 630 #9 Posted November 1, 2015 My yard resembles yours. I mulch with my 310-8 (or 418-A when it runs). Follow that up with bagging using the grass bagger that attaches to the 37" SD on the 310. Makes for a big compost pile thru the years.

Horse46 519 #11 Posted November 1, 2015 Beautiful area, I love autumn, here in Wales in the UK we get some great colours and fab sunsets this time of year. Thankfully I don't have many trees to drop leaves.
