HorseFixer 2,013 #1 Posted November 27, 2008 Well looks like tomorrow afternoon I will be picking up a horse and I don't even know what it is! As the Story goes MJ has a friend that says during the course of a conversation that his son has a really old tractor that he got from an Ole woman that gave it to him. We tried hunting him up this past summer and called him several times and left messages but he never returned our phone calls Yesterday after work MJ ran into him and he said he had been trying to call us! Anyways he said come out and get the tractor! MJ says how much and the guys says free! MJ asked him how old it is and he says in the late 40's early 50's So how may times have we all heard this before? He says he has had at least 50 guys trying to get it from him over the past few months! So tomorrow I will embark on this tractor rescue mission and hook up the horse hauler for one last mission in 2008 I will post pictures of what it is! Prolly a damn lawn ranger or something!
Kelly 1,033 #2 Posted November 27, 2008 Free is free, no mater what it is, you can always trade it, or depending on condition, part it, maybe save a few others, or maybe it's a nice RJ

DMESS 24 #9 Posted November 28, 2008 The old 1940 something, 1950 something line comes up plenty enough and the tractor usually turns out to be an early 60's round hood or if your lucky an RJ. The trick is you have to follow those leads because 1 in a 1000 ends up being a ringer. Ask me about the ad regarding a fellow "looking for a starter for a 1953 Wheel Horse". I assure you this old timer wasn't having a SENIOR moment either. :D
bitten 134 #10 Posted November 28, 2008 :hide: Wild bill Ihow did you do against the dixi chopper, hope you pulled it away and gavr the old wheel horse a good name against the new stuff. P.J.

Damn Lawn Ranger! :hide:
Sparky-(Admin) 23,147 #12 Posted November 28, 2008 I'd rather it be a Lawn Ranger than a real "Lawn Chief" Duke! You might end up with one of these Good luck and get us some pics pal. Mike...........

GlenPettit 1,717 #14 Posted November 28, 2008 "Lower your ethics, really lower your value standards way down:" Just remove those decals and put a set of some Wheel Horse decals, post it it on 'Craigs List' as a 'Unique Wheel Horse', 'that you're not exactly positive, decals were on it when you bought it', set a $1,000 minimum, no returns and you're in the money . . . But: You're a Red Square member . . . so you're stuck with it.

I don't have anything against lawn rangers they just don't fit my years of collection errrr well except (1) I would like to have a 32 E that would get my juices flowing and yes sore kiwi it will be turned into a loader just like Nicks! well somehow I just knew it was gonna turn out this way The trip out in the country didn't bother me but the dirt roads got my horse hauler all muddy a $3.00 in quarters at car wash fixed that well all I can say this is one pony that can sit there if anyone wants it lemme know its free for the taking! I asked the guy if he had it running and he said yes! well where in the hell is the engine!
