New Owner of Single Stage WH Snow Blower

Having never owned a Wheel Horse single stage snow blower I was wondering how much and what type of noise is normal for them to make when running and under no load?

Kind of loud. Chain and gears always make noise. Maybe it has a little chatter from worn bearings and from the chute bouncing around. Less noise when loaded with snow

Unless they look like they're brand new. Change the chain and gears. Never heard of one failing at a time that's convenient to a major storm. Bit of a PIA but well worth doing. Chains and gear teeth all wear over time it's s good idea to change the chain every other year.
