chorusguy 227 #1 Posted October 27, 2015 I've got two k341's that I need to rebuild. What I'm looking for is someone who would be willing to be a go to person on any questions that might come up as I work. While the forums are great they lack immediacy. I would like to have someone I could telephone at the moment I need some help. Anyone willing? I have the manual and I'm fairly mechanical so you won't be babysitting. Thanks
stevasaurus 23,291 #2 Posted October 27, 2015 HAPPY BIRTHDAY. If it was a transmission...I could do what you are asking. Hope you find the right guy...make a wish and try to blow out those candles.
rmaynard 16,343 #3 Posted October 27, 2015 Don't get me wrong, and please don't think that I'm being a jerk, I'm just curious. What kind of question might come up that would not be covered in the manual, and what would be so dire that it can't wait for a response from the forum?
chorusguy 227 #4 Posted October 27, 2015 Not at all. The easy answer is I don't know. Since I haven't ever done one before. Really looking for a fall back. There have been times when I was working on a project and needed some right now info and didn't have it. Things come to a complete standstill. I have 5 jobs that obviously take up a lot of time so when I have the time I want to be as productive as I can be and if I hit a snag i want somebody to call. Forums are great but not real time. Shynon 7,482 #5 Posted October 27, 2015 I agree with Bob if you have the manual and follow it I don't think you will have any problems. Kohler manuals are very well written. I have re built a few Kohlers and I use the book everytime as a reference.
Forest Road 594 #6 Posted October 28, 2015 X3!!! The kohler manual is well written. And it's such a simple design there's little to fear. Read the manual once or twice and go. If half of these guys making YouTube videos can do it Im confident just about anyone can. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
953 nut 60,241 #7 Posted October 28, 2015 If you had a mentor (singular) to call on you would be missing out on the help you will receive by posting your queries here. Lots of folks have been assisted by fellow members and the system works very efficiently. Posting pictures of the specific components you are dealing with would be a good practice.
