Any in depth engine re build videos?

I'm getting ready to re build my K341 but I'm stressing I'll get it wrong, are there any REALLY good rebuild videos that will help with putting the crank back in and piston install, that kind of thing?
I've had a look but most seem to be about the tear down.

OK, I know this is sad and I apologize in advance. Just play the takedown video backwards.:ROTF:          :text-imsorry:

If you have a kohler manual it tells you step by step how to put it back together. Follow the manual and you will do just fine.

WHX??

Yes get the manual and print 2 off, one for the garage to get greasy and one for your armchair reading. Study it and take plenty of pics so if the project drags out like they often do you don't forget (like me) hut it goes back together. Having the right tools really helps but I have often used a couple of screw drivers for ring & valve spring compressors. A good torque wrench is an essential. The saving grace is the guys here are always ready to help - start a thread in engines with pics on the whole rebuild. The biggest thing in a rebuild (for me anyway) is finding a shop that can do any required machining.

:twocents-02cents:   Have you looked at YouTube? There are lots of videos, some specifically for the K-341 and others for Kohlers of other sizes still applicable for any size.

I have a manual and have read through it, I will have to make do for special tools, and I do have a couple of good torque wrenches.
The bore is fine I'm just going to hone and replace piston and rod, also the governor gear which is the cause of the rebuild. I have another thread running on the tear down.
I have all the parts now, I just need to pluck up the courage to get it done.

I have, but they all seem a bit vague or only the tear down. I want a comprehensive guide of a re build, showing things like how to fit a wrist pin, and warnings of what to look out for at certain stages. I'm worried after reading the manual that i don't understand enough, and if like some of the manuals I have read in the past, they make you do a load of stuff that isn't really required.

Very funny, :laughing-rofl:

Pullstart

If it's anything like the smaller K series engines, make sure you put that governor gear and governor shaft in before the rotating assembly!  I missed that part on my last K-141 rebuild and it took quite a bit of creativity to sneak it in there.  Long screw drivers and those extend-o magnets helped me to get it all in place without pulling the engine back apart.  But I wouldn't want to try it again!

I have put the governor gear in and the cam shaft, my concern though is with the cam shaft rod, is it an old style or the newer short one ?? I have knocked it through to where I thought it was before.
