Scored this snowblower 30$

Recommended Posts

got this for 30$ which I think is a great deal. The model # tag is gone and it's missing the ever illusive lift bar and flag. I'm going to make one does any one know the length of it so I can put it on my 520.?

I can get some measurements in the morning if you still need them. I have one on a 520 also.

Thanks for the measurements kiotiken. Duplicated the flag and lift rod setup. Not bad if I do say so myself. Quick rattle can regal red, and attached to my c100. Still on the fence if I'm putting it on the 520h. Chain seems a little loose and sprocket fully adjusted. I see a couple of n.o.s ones on eBay but my model I'd tag is missing. Any idea which # it is?

Some possibilities

1975 model 6-6214 first model to have a spool on the chute crank for the cable. Side extensions were a flat plate so newer than this

1976 model 6-6215 changed to 66-42ST01 - First model to have the straight return at the front of the snowthrower side extensions
1977 model 76-42ST01
1978 model 86-42ST01
1979 model 96-42ST01
1980 model 06-42ST01
1981-1982 model 06-42ST02

1983 model 06-42ST03 was the first to use skids instead of wheels so older than that.

The blower I just got is identical in every way to yours. my tag is still on the blower and the # is 86 - 42STO1 - 04253  My dealer said it is a 78 42 inch when I was ordering a bearing for the chain drive side.:)

Oh and by the way................. With your luck I would buy a lottery ticket if I were you......
