Mike'sHorseBarn 3,253 #1 Posted October 15, 2015 Hello everyone,I am working on a wheel horse 8-25 model number 70044 serial #210001913 for my neighbor and i can't for the life of me figure out how to adjust the carb. Can't seem to find a fuel mixture screw to keep it from surging. I have looked at the manuals and parts diagram for the engine and that isn't helping me. Anyone have any prior experience with this? It would appear that the Briggs part number for the carb is 692648 if that helps. Thanks in advance!Mike

Howie 899 #4 Posted October 16, 2015 No high speed adjustment on that carb according to the parts list on parts tree. Does show an idle adjustment on it. Although some ofthose have a fixed jet that screws into them.Idle mixture screw is #94 on that parts list.May have a plastic cap over it that limits howmuch it will turn, pop that off and it can be adjusted further. Needs to come straight off carefully or can break the top of screw off!Hope this helps.David
