clintonnut 126 #1 Posted November 24, 2008 Hi D250 owners I just wanted to give you a little info on the connection between Gutbrod and Wheel Horse. Gutbrod made these models similar to the D-250 2350 no high/low 2400 no high/low 2500 this is the twin of the D-250 2600 available in 4x4 the letter D = Kubota Diesel A = Allrad or 4x4 S = I think its Superior or Power Steering Some D-250's have narrow 15 inch wheels in the rear which is rare. The only one I've ever seen was on ebay a couple months ago. The wheels were Gutbrod and they were an option here. I have the brochure for these tractors with some unique attachments that never made it here. Wheelhorseweb.com/tractortalk has lots of documentation. I kind of had the crazy idea of bringing a gutbrod to the USA to show off with my D-250 but the shipping would be killer :hide:
Teddy da Bear 11 #2 Posted November 24, 2008 :hide: Charlie... That D-250 is on my wish list.

clintonnut 126 #6 Posted November 25, 2008 Ahh very funny I was there at the steam o rama. I don't know how hard it is to miss a 2000 pound garden tractor?? We were there saturday. We brought the 652, D250, and I know you guys will kill me for this but i brought two Cub 147's to sell I just installed the plow on the D as well as the wheel weights. I'm ready for a hard winter. The 250 also has new Carlisle Tru Power ag tires which are exactly like the goodyears. For the WHCC show in june i'm restoring a suburban with an electric start clinton and a 1054 with a 10.5 horse clinton which weighs less than a kohler. Possible pulling engine??? Last week we were at a consignment sale in Jersey. There was a D-180 with a loader that had a brush paint job and needed everything. We bidded it up to $1500 but let it go. The guy who bought it said he was going to sell it out front of his house for $4000 :imstupid: GOOD LUCK. By the way the loader wouldn't raise If it was all original and the loader worked :horseplay: !!! We bought our D-250 at the same place. A guy was there and already had 2 and lived 5 miles away and it turned out our 3 D-250's were all sold by Ralphs Lawnmower Shack. Charlie
Nick 13 #7 Posted November 25, 2008 Jason, I was a bit slow thinking of this but just a few months back my Cousin shipped back from a couple years military service in Germany. He shipped his chevy truck back to the US in a container so it would have been an easy deal for him to have thrown parts or even a complete tractor in with it. Day late dollar short. :hide:
clintonnut 126 #8 Posted November 25, 2008 Theres a 2400 on ebay for 5 euros bad engine it would be about 500 to ship it so maybe.... I'll try a bid on it. Charlie
