Wishin4a416 2,191 #1 Posted September 26, 2015 I picked up a NOS Cab at the big show in June and just found time to mount it. Been a real busy Summer. It is a 5XI cab and I was a little apprehensive about buying it but I couldn't pass it up for the price.I found Horsefixers thread about mounting one on a Classic and it was very helpful. Thanks Duke! I used some of his tricks and came up with some of my own. I molested no parts except the rear mounting bracket which is minimal. Glad this project is done. And the boys at Original Cab Company told me it couldn't be done! Yeah Okay I says, And thought to myself If there is a will there is a way, and it looks like Ole Jack has the will to me! Well Done Pal You Rock! Just for informational Purposes for everyone that may not know this, Those wedge shaped screened in corners on the rear of the LXI cab is for Fresh air to enter the cab for combustion air for the engine. I guess that's where MR KAWASAKI gets its air from. Seems to me like a guy would freeze his ARSE OFF! So what I did was order some red Fabric (Just Like Comes On The Cab) and I used some Vinyl Cement and you can barely tell they were there and it hasn't separated or peeled in 3 years. Another thing Jack (and I need to do this too) Take some Vinyl like decals are made out of maybe clear and put a 6" wide strip across the hood sides and top where the cab material touches the hood. If ya don't you will rub off the paint. Mine is just starting to scuff a bit so I plan to do this, this fall myself. Again Great Job! ~Duke 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
