ronhatch 406 #1 Posted September 26, 2015 I just mowed with my newly restored C-101 yesterday. It mowed well, but I found that the ground speed was a little slow in 2nd gear and of course, 3rd gear is out of the question for mowing, but even 3rd is slow for pulling a trailer or getting from point A to point B. Has anyone decreased the size of the transmission 5" pulley to increase the ground speed to maybe a 4 1/2" pulley? If so, what size belt did you use? Thinks for your input! Bert 760 #2 Posted September 26, 2015 Have you considered putting a larger pulley on the engine? The hydro models used one that can be made to work with only miner work and a longer belt. There have been a few members that have done this and they spoke highly of the results
