trainman 0 #1 Posted September 23, 2015 Recently I got a Tecumseh H55D electric start motor, no clue of the condition of the original carb on it I would like to either rebuild it. or replace it which would be easier? I got a new head gasket coming, changed the oil in it replaced the rounded drain plugs Going to change out the points. it's going in my 551 tractor. Wiring it will be the next step. Any help for you people would be great!
Brian01 481 #2 Posted September 23, 2015 If it will clean up and work as it should, I'd use it..if not replacing would be the way to go....fromwhative seen/heard though, Tecumseh Carbs "suck" lol
