got 4 wheelhorse garden tractors that I do not know much about. I am working on one....it is an 857...got a kohler K181 S. I already found out it is 8 hrs electric start year 1967.

2nd.......tag says model (1 0301 7)....serial # 863650 has a kohler K241 S and is electric start

3rd......tag says serial 62-18107 no model #....recoil start (kohler)

4th......tag says serial 62-4216 also no model # this is an electric start kohler K161S

just looking for any information about these if the numbers tell you anything...will post pictures hopefully during next weekend. :hide::D:hide::omg:

thanks for any help :omg:

You just need to plug those numbers into the Toro website https://lookup3.toro.com/request/request.cfm

model and serial number....and it will tell you the year.

They also have manuals and online illustrations for most

tractors. Some manuals are free to download.

Write back and tell us what you find out. :hide:

edit: Sorry.......should not have just "glanced" and assumed

you had all the numbers... My apology....

I would guess the 4th one is most likely a 702 given the low digit 62-xxx serial number. 701s wouldn't have had the 62 prefix.

Gotta wife that still does! Yet she's asleep and I'm on here? Go figger.

The second one looks like 1-0301, 1972 Raider 10.

Third one is most likely a 633. The serial number is high enough to be from early '63. If it has a Kohler K-141 with spec number 29102A tha'ts what it is.

The fourth one is a 702. A 701 wouldn't have the '62 prefix and the serial number is lower than my 702, eliminating the 753 as a possibility.

I did manage to get the 857 running today...it's got the plow on it...come on snow...I am ready :horseplay: :horseplay: ....rebuilt gas pump and carborator...sounds great...stood there with a cocktail just listening to it...guessing it sat for 15 plus years...what a feeling

absolutely...here is all the numbers I found...

trator...model L 857

serial# 325050

carb Kohler K181S

serial # B203101

spec# 30108D...carter "N"

from what I read...it is the early model 857 because of the carter carb...the screws match the carter "N" carb picture that I have...hope that helps..why do you ask?

I have been starting it up every night and letting it run for about 30 minutes...enough time for a cocktail and a nice sound and to warm up...probably change the oil again this weekend and check the plug...looking for snow...Elgin, Ill. :hide:
