tommyg 154 #1 Posted September 19, 2015 Pressure washers are great for cleaning off dirty engines with engine cleaner. They've also been known to remove all the engine identification that's not actually engraved. This is hypothetical, of course. But what do you do if you've pressure washed the model, serial and spec numbers off the engine plate? Kohler has been no help at all. Won't even respond to emails. It's the newer Command Pro engine that I just put in my D.
WNYPCRepair 1,923 #2 Posted September 19, 2015 Did you buy it new? Maybe the place you bought it can get it from their records

pfrederi 18,707 #4 Posted September 20, 2015 Do you know what it was originally used on. You might try looking though all the command pro spec numbers as many of them are linked to a customer. That might narrow it down to a few spec numbers.
Fordiesel69 271 #5 Posted September 20, 2015 It should be mandated to stamp. I have had boat trailers that took an act of god to get title transfers for as the vin foils have faded or peeled off.
Kegler 68 #6 Posted September 20, 2015 Don't feel lonely, I have a 417A that no longer has any numbers anywhere, Motor, frame, fenders, nothing.

Anyone care to try their luck?
