dsoly 2 #1 Posted September 18, 2015 Hi all, kohler k321 Giving me fits.... Lost spark, replaced points, coil and condensor. It fired up, ran really rough. Cleaned carb, ran a little better, but when I tried to throttle up it dies. Replaced carb , points at .20, autolite plug at 25. Good fuel pressure, or so it seems.... I'm out of ideas. Any direction would be appreciated. Thanks
Save Old Iron 1,571 #2 Posted September 18, 2015 make sure the condenser is attached to the (-) post of the ignition coil.
prondzy 3,889 #3 Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) I would try champion spark plug h10c I beleive. Leave the gap alone. Are you running an in line fuel filter? Edited September 18, 2015 by prondzy
dsoly 2 #4 Posted September 18, 2015 Condensor is on the negative side and yes there is an inline filter. I pulled the fuel line and it seems to have good pressure, thanks for the replays guys. May replace the filter and plug and see what happens.
rmaynard 16,343 #5 Posted September 18, 2015 Might want to replace the plug wire also. Could be breaking down internally.
Shynon 7,482 #6 Posted September 18, 2015 take the cap of the fuel tank you could possible have a plugged vent hole, other thing I would do is take of the fuel pump and clean it out.
Rob R 977 #7 Posted September 18, 2015 Me thinks you have a carb fuel problem, you need to take the carb off and clean everything, especially make sure the center tube is clean... run a long thin needle or wire all the way up it and then spray carb cleaner up it and blow through it with an air gun.....
