shortgrass 0 #1 Posted September 9, 2015 HI all, im in need of some help with my snow thrower. I am not sure of its width or model yet how ever i do i know i deffinatly need to repair the drive gear that is welded to the auger itself. The gear has all the teeth belt over and ripped off. I was wondering if this is a common problem and if there is a easy enough repair for it. I know how to weld and cut metal so if thats involved (I dont see how it couldnt be) then i should be able to do it. Thanks for the in put, Zach
doc724 925 #2 Posted September 9, 2015 There is a website called "sprocketsonline" or something similar. You should be able to fine one of the right diameter and thickness there. Grind off the old one and weld the new one one and you should be back in business. It must be nice to have welding skills. I don't-I have to pay someone!
