callum12 256 #1 Posted August 30, 2015 hi all,I've just purchased a plough for my horse, i will be ploughing a patch of ground that hasn't been touched for a very long time it will also be my first time ploughing. to help me along the way i'd like to find a clear and concise video about how to set up a single furrow plough, or at least a good detailed write up on the setting up. i've had a look but to no avail. any tips and tricks will also be much appreciated.thanks callum

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,268 #3 Posted August 30, 2015 Block the left front and rear tractor wheels up on a flat surface the depth you want to plow. Now lower the plow and adjust so it sets flat on the ground. This is how everything is positioned when the right wheels are in a plowed furrow. If you are not getting the depth you want tip the front of the plow down a bit.If it is going too deep raise the front of the plow a bit. It does not take much of a change to get results. This is called adjusting the suck. By design the plow will pull it's self into the ground.Garry
