Commando 8 not starting.

Needing a alittle help. Tried starting up my commando 8 after restoring and rewiring this tractor. It has great spark, new fuel but just will not fire up and run. I have tried starting it with carb cleaner and starter fluid but still will not fire up. After cranking it so long that fuel starts coming out the front of the carb.So i know it is getting fuel And smoke is coming out of the muffler. Now this tractor ran before restoring. Thanks in advance

What's the compression? You need 3 things to run. You have spark and fuel. did you check compression? Maybe a valve too tight and hanging open or sticking. Did you take the motor apart?

It has an automatic compression release so an accurate reading is hard to get. I'm thinking 50 psi minimum.

Easy to pull the head, and eyeball it.     :jaw:
