Didn't get any pics today unfortunately! I will grab some tomorrow but I painted a few more things today. I think I am going to grab some matte clear just to have a little extra protection to all my fresh paint.  I also started on those welds today.  It's a nightmare so far lol

Ended up torching the ends off. Not going to re use them either. So I'll be building a weight bracket instead and make some suitcase weights out of wood for a show look.

I don't need to explain what I'm doing right now...the pics will explain themselves for the most part.

What do you guys think of duals on the rear?  I'll just find some matching wheels and tires and run with it. I think the duals would really set it off!!

Anyways I have a couple more pics for y'all and another one of those PROFESSIONAL welds lol.

Just ordered a few things this morning to start putting everything back together.  I'll post pics once everything comes in. I will also need to wait til the motor is back together so I can fabricate the belt guard around the belt.   I do have a couple more pics of a test fit on the belt guard. I had to move the the floor boards out to the last hole so I could fit the guard without hitting the clutch pulley. I wish I had good enough fab skills to replicate the guard and put it on the other side so it look symmetrical. But I'm not that good lol.

Work will continue on Monday. Today I only had one class so I decided to head home early and work on my white blazer. The previous owner rigged all the grounds together and just grounded straight to the body. This spring I'll be re doing all of it and probably moving a few things around.

And one of my other hobbies is car audio. I used to compete but now I do it to enjoy it. I respect all local laws and DO NOT play it loud through neighborhoods. I go to audio shows still and just play it for whoever wants to hear it basically.   It is loud but ive been doing this since about 2007 so I'm sure I'm already deaf lol. I'll add some pics so you can see it. It's still a work in progress as well.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I've been putting the motor back together and dealing with the crappy weather. Most parts are in but I won't get them til Friday. Went ahead and cleared the hood to get some contrast on the matte black. Here's some pics for y'all.

Update one the parts.... The last few things I needed to get it running and driving are in. I'm waiting on my axle seals for the rear end and all thread for the tie rods to get here tomorrow.  I will post pics as soon as everything is here. I ended up ordering an 8" pulley for the front end and a custom exhaust for the motor as well.  Its pretty wild looking.  Thinking about either painting it with high heat paint or maybe do an exhaust wrap on it.  Not quite sure yet.  I may also be cutting some out of the hood but I really dont want to.

I'm also looking for another wheel horse to start another project.  I will give some hints.....I plan on doing a lot from scratch and using a big motor.lol.  Thats all for now.  I need to find a wheel horse first.  Hoping to find one that is original and weathered.

Sounds good!

Heat wrap would be awesome in my opinion.

Oh that sounds exciting!

Here's some pictures for everyone!  It's been a slow day and I haven't got much done. Working on the tie rods now. I also scored some free wider rear wheels!

If that's all the exhaust you'll be running, it's going to be one loud machine!

That's what I'm trying to achieve with it. Lol.

I'll have more pics tomorrow when I attempt to remove the axle hubs.

Well.....let tell you that these hubs were a pain in my ass. The pulley aide hub came off easily!  I yanked a little and came right off with ease. The other side was a nightmare! Glad they are done though!  Everything else is getting done slowly. More pics as I get everything done!

I have a couple more pictures for today. Went ahead and jumped the gun, wired everything up the exact same way I took it apart to see if it would fire.....and nothing. I'll be getting out the dmm tomorrow and tracing every wire. I just wish I could find a helpful diagram on how that regulator is wired. I have up for today. I'll be right back at it tomorrow though. Will also try to get a video of it running!

One of my buddies also made me a brass knuckles shifter knob out of what we had laying around. It'll be cleaned up and painted tomorrow also!

If you look through the manuals section on this forum you should be able to find a wire diagram that will help you out. The manual for a 1076 has a good one in it.

The 866/1055 have a simple basic wiring diagram, your ignition system may not be the same, but the charging system will be.

Update:  the starter generator needs rebuilt. The wires on the inside are completely burnt off of the poles. I was told that I can't re solder it so I'll just have it fixed by someone that can do it. I'm hoping it's not too expensive lol. But that's all I'm lacking with it running. I have about 3 weeks left of this class and I'm hoping to have it running by next week. Fingers crossed I guess!

If you really want to see if it will run before the gen gets fixed, you can start the engine using a rope around the fly wheel pulley on the gen side. Mine has notches in the edge of the pulley to hold a knotted end of a rope. Should be able to power up the coil,& pull start it.

Well....she runs!  Sounds like a motorcycle. I think I even had her shooting some flames at one point.

I've got two problems....the rear pulleys welds broke instantly and the carb is junk. The float sticks and just dumps fuel altogether. I have only two weeks left of class so I'm going to bust ass to get it done and running. We took it out today and it didn't go far...because the clutch pulley flew off. And I mean FLEW. Shot across the parking lot.  I'm glad there were no cars around. So I'm going to look around for another carb and see what I can do I guess. I have a short clip of it running and will see what I can do to get it on here!

I did take a couple pics yesterday.  And yes I did have to cut the hood for the exhaust to fit. I wanted to make just a circle cutout for the look but I had nothing to do so. Also I will be busting ass this week to get her running and get a video up somehow!

Im at my witts end with this carb. It's still leaking fuel... Not as much as it was last week but it's starting to piss me off. On top of that I can't get the throttle set right but I'm going to try to get it going tomorrow and fixed.

Plus side to today I got some free lights off of a tractor. Going to have those on it by the end of the week hopefully.
