You gave me inspiration to paint the wheels on the 502 yesterday. Then today i took my baby girl for a ride and got about a mile away from home it started running very bad i thought the motor was toast and it turned out to be the carburetor was almost falling off should of known it was the carb considering its a tecky.LOL
Had to ride home with the hood up so i could push the carb against the block was not fun but it never gave up on me

lol those wheels really set it off that's for sure..yeah carb suckin more air than gas huh? lol

in tons of pictures I see, ppl have white wheels and red lugnut heads...how do you keep them red when tightening  them up with lug wrench , it always eats the paint off, when I do it.

Gotta be a trick to it

I use a small paint brush and touch it up after there put on but recommend using one of Bob's lug nut kits

You can put a little masking tape around the nuts prior to tightening, it'll help some but will still require some touch up.

Those look nice. My wheels all look kind of pink. Thanks to this nice Georgia red clay, silver, white, or whatever always have a redish tint.

Thanks!  yeah these turned out pretty good, cause they were smooth with no pitting or much rust,  but patience is the key. Masking, light sanding with 320grit, 2 coats of primer, let dry for an or more, then light coat if almond, wait a few minutes, then another coat...let dry for a few hrs and wah-la!

Put the rings, rod and piston back in the k90 today, believe it needs a set of points, tried adjusting them, but won't fire hot enough

Anxious to get my 6 - 12 lugs for the back!

Also sanded and primed engine tin, just so it wouldn't rust

Opinions needed...should I paint the seat antique white as well, or leave it black?

just give it a light scuff with sand paper and prime and paint should turn out good plus the almond white color does hide imperfections pretty good

Too late, light scuffin over the black and BAM....I may leave the bottom side black for now though, cause my seat spacer (2x4) is black.

It oughta be well protected anyway...at least 2 or 3 coats of primer, 2 or 3 coats of black, and gonna get a good couple coats of "antique white"
