cdsl810 181 #1 Posted August 22, 2015 I thought it might be fun to share those <<<UNBELIEVABLE>>> deals that we just missed... the ones that were sooooo close to an awesome score!!!This just happened to me yesterday. I saw a 2001 314-8 in just about mint condition, with only 285 hours on it on CL (gasp). It looked like it just rolled out of the dealer showroom. The only issue listed was that the deck had a bad bearing (not a big deal). The asking price was....$300 I called the guy and got his address while already driving in his direction. He said to c'mon over, but there are two other guys coming to look at in now too. He wasn't sure what the big fuss was about this "little lawn mower" Unfortunately, geography was not on my side. The tractor was listed for a grand total of 93 minutes and it was GONE.Now I didn't really need a 314-8 right now, but for that price and condition I could have fixed the deck and flipped it for a huge profit. I just called the new owner and left him a voicemail telling him that I will pick it up tomorrow for $350, since he was nice enough to bring it to a town closer to me.
