1978c81 385 #1 Posted August 18, 2015 (edited) Just picked up a 57 Ride away. A few odds and ends and it will be perfect. With that said does anyone have a set of the correct front wheels available? Edited August 18, 2015 by 1978c81 Add

MikesRJ 558 #3 Posted August 19, 2015 Ok, I'll bite. What's your issue with the front wheels?
1978c81 385 #4 Posted August 19, 2015 Are the correct front wheels 4.80-4.00-8. Like the 55 and 56? I could be wrong.
MikesRJ 558 #5 Posted August 19, 2015 (edited) I'm certainly not an RJ-35 expert, but they look correct to me. 4.00 x 8 were the right wheels, although the rims were normally painted black, not linen beige. In fact they are exactly the same as my 1958 RJ-58. Except your front wheels are on backwards, I believe. The valve stems should be facing inward. Here's the manual for the 35: http://www.mywheelhorse.com/graphics/file/Tractors/RJ-35.pdfHere's the manual for the 58: http://www.mywheelhorse.com/graphics/file/Tractors/TR_1958_RJ-58.pdf Edited August 19, 2015 by MikesRJ

1978c81 385 #8 Posted August 19, 2015 Wheels are def. On backwards. All the 57 rj 35's I've seen had the skinnier wheels. 1958 they went to the wider wheel like the one currently on the 57. My 56 has the skinnier front wheels.

stevebo-(Moderator) 8,532 #11 Posted August 19, 2015 Front wheels are off 58 or 59 rj. The 35 wheels have no lip. They are not correct but are acceptable for sure.

squonk 43,812 #13 Posted August 19, 2015 I have the wider wheels on my 59. If I turn them so the stems are inward like I would like, the wheel edge just and I mean just misses the spindle.
