211A transmission fluid

Hi guys. Recently some of you guys assisted me on getting this old 211A going again. Thank you for the assistance. I am now looking at checking and making sure that this puppy has enough fluid in the transmission. Any ideas on where to check how much fluid is in it? Is there a cap hidden or a way to check the tranny? Also what type of oil or fluid does it take anow how far should i fill it to? Any info or pics would be helpful.

I'm 99% sure the SAE 20 motor oil was changed to SAE 30 motor oil because it is more easily found. There is a hot and cold mark on the reservoir above the hydro. They don't hold much oil.

The transaxle uses SAE 90 EP gear oil. The most common today is a 85-90 GL5 gear oil or any weight combination around the 90.

This poor copy of a service manual may help but hard to make out the illustrations.

These last 2 were originally one manual but have been split up to reduce the file size. Even the original is poor quality.

Look for T2 and T7 after the 1985 model list.

Thanks Gary. You have been extremly helpful. I did post a few minutes ago to see if anyone knew the belt sizes to the 211A. Let me know if you can help.
