dsoly 2 #1 Posted August 10, 2015 Hi all, currently working on a 416h, and the pto lever vibrates to the disengaged position. Looked at diagrams and can't figure out why it won't stay locked. Any ideas would be appreciated.
boovuc 1,090 #2 Posted August 10, 2015 I would loosen it up. I over-adjusted PTO's in the past trying to make sure they were tight. When this is done, the PTO lever doesn't come all the way down and would flip back up after a minute or so.If this is not the case and you have a lot of vibration, you may want to look at the bearings in that PTO.
Don1977 605 #3 Posted August 10, 2015 Check the snap ring on the out side of the short shaft attached to the loop. If it's out of the groove there isn't and pressure on the clutch and this will make the PTO handle loose.

Don1977 605 #5 Posted August 10, 2015 I'm trying to picture what your saying don, do u mean on the bottom by cotter pin? The shaft has a snap ring each side of the front bearing on the PTO pulley and attached to the center of the loop.
