I mentioned picking up this "Son of Marvin" tractor in my Steam Pageant thread. I thought I'd post it here also. I bought this for the wheels and tires. but I'm curious what it was. No engine or belt guard but does have the serial No. I tried the Toro site but came up empty. I'm thinking 64ish

The lowest 1964 A-xxxxx serial I have seen is A-50086
The serial before your's is for a mower deck.
Your serial is A-58657
The next  A-xxxxx serial after yours is on this page for a 604 serial A-58686

Interesting setup with the footrest and pedal that was added behind the steering gear. Must have been modified for a child (or very small adult).

Yes it was for a child Bob. Thanks Gary. I was thinking 604/704. I see no evidence that a battery box was ever installed and everything seems identical to the 704 I have and the 604 I had 45 yrs. ago except the seat. Basing it on that serial no. I'd go with 604

Its a 604, 654 or 704, think there all the same tractor but the serial tag may tell you something, but I've never looked them up that way.

That offset fuel fill hole suggests a 1964 with a Tecumseh.

The 64's are some of my favorites...I would find it hard to part such a unique year of wheelhorse tractors.
