shallowwatersailor 3,214 #26 Posted August 9, 2015 I guess that it is on there. That is what keeps the deck from moving. I have used my 42" RD and never had this as an issue. Are the rear tires larger than 23x8.50-12?
Don1977 605 #27 Posted August 9, 2015 (edited) The adjustable stops on the front guides look too high to me. That may make the back to go higher in the back when it's lifted. Mine are a lot closer to the bottom. Edited August 9, 2015 by Don1977
linklaw 0 #28 Posted August 9, 2015 I checked and it appears that the fork is straddling the correct rod. Not the spring loaded rod but the other one. John
Racinbob 11,976 #29 Posted August 9, 2015 (edited) Don, those adjust so the deck rides snug to the rubber stops for transport. There quite a bit of wear on his deck which likely accounts for the adjustment. The oddity here is the way the deck is positioned. One side is much closer to the rear tire. Basically twisted. I'm wondering if the deck itself is damaged? I checked and it appears that the fork is straddling the correct rod. Not the spring loaded rod but the other one. John It looks like it mounted correctly. Edited August 9, 2015 by Racinbob
jackhammer 550 #30 Posted August 10, 2015 (edited) Linklaw the next time your deck is down , slide it out if you would and take 3 or 4 pics l, r frt n down , straight down of the the deck itself. Maybe we can see something that way.Rick Edited August 10, 2015 by jackhammer
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,510 #31 Posted August 10, 2015 (edited) Hi all. I am a brand new member with a question about my mower deck. I have a C145 with a 42" rear discharge deck. My tractor has the hydraulic lift and when I lift up the deck, the left rear edge of the deck runs into the left rear tire. The deck is much closer to the left rear tire than the right rear tire when the deck is in the down position. I looked for an adjustment to move the deck around its center axis to even out the space between the rear of the deck and the rear tires but so far I can't figure it out. Does anyone have any ideas? I took the deck off and do not see any bent or damaged pieces and no cracks in the deck. Thanks.John You are describing left and right from the operator's position in the seat? Are the rear tires identical in make and size?Garry Edited August 10, 2015 by gwest_ca
linklaw 0 #32 Posted August 10, 2015 The tires are the same size but different brands. Left and right described from operators position in the seat. I am away from the tractor until the weekend but will disconnect the deck and take some pics then. Thanks for all the help. John
