Is it OK to use aftermarket drive belts

You probably could have went down to your Toro dealer, bought one for the price of the one on ebay plus the shipping and established a relationship with your dealer. If you noticed above prices are in the low to mid $20 range, so what have you saved?

The drive belt for my 1267 is NLA. When I need a new one i'll probably go with the Srens or True Blue.

Unless my buddy at the Bumper to Bumper gives me a killer deal on one of the gates green belts.

I called the local dealer and got a price on both belts. One was $38 and the other was $53. The $38 one I would have to wait a week. I commented on the price difference between toro's site and dealer, he said there was nothing he could do. If I ordered on the site it would cost an extra $10 or so for shipping. So I think $20 shipped is a great deal. :D

Ouch. Your dealer is trying to take you to the cleaners. I just called my local dealer and the price he gave me was $24 plus tax. I would try other dealers in the future. But, it sounds like you did good considering your dealer is trying to gouge you.

I agree with using local dealers. I use Stanley Lawn and Garden in Marshall, Michigan.

His prices are resonable, and when I call or stop in, He already knows my tractors, and can usually deciffer what it is I'm trying to say. :hide:
