I have a WH c-141 and having trouble for the deck to hang level from side to side. it is a 42" deck model#1542sc01 I measure from top of deck up to where my ruler sits straight (against the support hanger that is attached to deck) and the reading on the left side is 3 5/8" and on right side it is 4" why the difference? Looked at all things and what I can see looks ok. Does anyone know what to check for?
The only wheels at the time was measuring that was on ground was 2-rear wheels on deck. Thanks for imput in advance and have a good day:confusion-helpsos:

I'm not really understanding what you have.  Are you talking about how the deck hangs when you have the lift lever up and the deck is off the ground???  Are you talking about when the deck is on the ground that it is not sitting level???  :)

it is when I have it setting on level concrete surface, so I could level front to rear that I noticed it was not level sideways. So it would be where the wheels on mowing deck sets on ground with the blades in middle hole of height pate for mowing.deck would be setting in same position that I mow with.
The place where I measured at is on deck by where the bar that hooks in quick connect for front of deck to hang from. t suppose this won't make any sense .

If you can, measure from the blades to the ground. That should be more accurate.

Just went through same thing with my neighbor's deck. With it off the tractor, I could see that the deck was weak and bending where the wheel bracket bolts onto the deck on one side.

OK...I see where you are coming from now...thanks.  I have a feeling that some of the metal is twisted giving you the difference.  I just got a couple of used decks that I went through and tried to mount on one of my horses.  Actually, I think  3/8" difference on a 42" deck sounds pretty nice.  The decks I have look like they have had constant meetings with trees, telephone poles and fences on a regular basis...and these decks look like they are in great shape.  When you have a deck sitting on the concrete by itself and you stand back and look at it, that is when you see all the twists from these collisions.  Is it fixable...sure...if you take it all apart and straighten the metal.  Make sure the adjustable wheels, with their supporting rods are in right and not bent either...happens from standing on the deck.  :)
Did you check to make sure that your tractor tires are properly inflated??  :eusa-think:

Seriously... On some types of tires 3-5 psi can make a BIG difference, but you wont notice it from looking at them. Happens to me on my walk behind all the time where one tire has a slow leak then after i get done cutting the grass I am :angry-cussingblack: at all the grass ridges.

I actually use air pressure in my tires to help level out my snow blade.  It is easy for the frame to twist a little, but it is not always easy to twist it back...tire pressure can work wonders here, especially if you have a black top drive way.  :)  Redhead, you might also use tire pressure to level out your deck.  :eusa-think:
