522xi transmission mount issue

Recommended Posts

Forest Road

Tearing mine down for some maintenance. Found all 4 bolts which mount trans to chassis very loose. Kind of explains the slamming I felt. I replaced all 4 bolts w 1-1/4" bolts lock washers and regular washers. No need to drain the oil. I would recommend parking on a flat surface. Torque all 4 bolts tight so it's properly aligned. Then replace one bolt at a time. Keep in mind I have 1026 hours and run a loader all the time. She's a little rough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That speaks well of the design. I doubt that the driveshaft went out of alignment given that it is a full chassis instead of a monocoque design like the classic WH.

I would suggest a large dose of blue tread locker on those bolts also. There is not as much metal to bolt to on the xi series as the old Wheel Horses. Will be a lot harder to repair then the old transmission plate.
