6wheeler 669 #1 Posted July 8, 2015 Surprise. Onan seat issues again. I peened the seat on my rear cylinder last summer. It didn't hold. I am going to do it again to get through this season. This winter it will get a re-power. I read a thread that used a Honda engine. But, I cannot find it. Can someone help with that? I would appreciate it. Thanks, Pat

CoreyC 0 #3 Posted July 9, 2015 In the event you want to replace your motor, the Honda motor is about $1,600. Predator makes a knock off of the Honda in 22 HP. Harbor freight has the motor for around $700 - $800. I have a Predator motor on my generator and a friend of mine has one on his log splitter that he runs continuously all year round with this motor for the past 7 years. If you are looking for a possible fix for the seat, search through some of the threads. I read were someone fixed theirs with a super high strength/high temp Loc-tite for about $40.
stuppy62 58 #4 Posted July 9, 2015 I have my P220G Onan at local engine shop now. They are putting in oversized valve seat to fix problem. I would like to keep mine original. This is an option for you as well.
