RMCIII 838 #1 Posted July 4, 2015 Goofy but maybe someone knows the answer to this. So on my Kohler Command engine with a model number is CH18S. < That model number does not exist according to the Kohler engine website. What does exist is a CH621/CH18 - horsepower rating of 19hp. Right on top of the engine it states 18hp. Was someone sucking on some grape wine when they installed this engine?RC
Racinbob 10,370 #2 Posted July 4, 2015 Doing a search for a CH18S brings them up. Don't have a clue why the website doesn't have it.
boovuc 1,090 #3 Posted July 5, 2015 If you search just by the CH18 Command pro, I have seen a few of these HP ratings on links for the same engine so yes, with a different head or piston, the same cc engine can have a different HP rating even from the factory.
