bell 11 #1 Posted November 12, 2008 I have a chance to trade my unrestored 400 Suburban.. (looks just like this, except it has a K91 on it now and it runs/ drives... but needs a FULL resto.) for a BEAUTIFULLY restored 7-2111 4-wheel wagon. The ONLY thing that the wagon needs is the WH decals put on it, but they come with it. I had given my daughter the Suburban, but... She likes the 876 better... (hydro, easier for her to drive) I have 3/4 of another suburban that I can finish piecing together, so I would still have a suburban... The guy has about $400 into the wagon... and it is BEAUTIFUL....
bell 11 #2 Posted November 12, 2008 The wagon is the same as jschahl's.... except, totally restored.
ol550 830 #3 Posted November 12, 2008 If it were me, I would have a sit down with the daughter because there may be another wagon out there somewhere. If she says trade then she has a wagon too! :hide:
nylyon-(Admin) 7,880 #4 Posted November 12, 2008 I love the 4 wheel wagons, I'd be inclined to go for it.
kpinnc 14,632 #5 Posted November 12, 2008 Susburbans aren't that hard to find up there. Just tell your daughter about all the hay rides you can do with the wagon... Kevin
Teddy da Bear 11 #6 Posted November 12, 2008 An unrestored suburban is only worth about $300 to $350 (to me anyway). Can the wagon be bought? Then you can have both.
linen beige 15 #7 Posted November 12, 2008 Can the wagon be bought? Then you can have both. Excellent point! Suburbans are not that hard to find. The four wheel wagons are not so common. I would grab the wagon while I had the chance, whether it be through trade or outright purchase.
Michael Bullington 5 #8 Posted November 12, 2008 ill take the wagon
bell 11 #9 Posted November 12, 2008 Well, I just talked to Courtney.... I didn't tell her about the wagon, at first.... I asked her wich one she would rather have... the Suburban, or the 876. She said that she would rather have the 876, because it is easier to drive! Looks like I'll be picking up a wagon tomorrow!
bell 11 #10 Posted November 12, 2008 Thanks for all the input fellas.... I knew that I should trade, but I wanted to know what y'all thought. I have been wanting a 4-wheel wagon since the first time I saw one... :hide:

DMESS 24 #12 Posted November 12, 2008 You'll have plenty of oportunities to snag another mid engine. 4 wheel wagons don't come along NEAR as often. Excellent trade.
HorseFixer 2,013 #13 Posted November 13, 2008 Nice trade! It was really a no brainer! Yer tractor was only worth $ 200.00 TOPS unrestored you did good! :hide:
ronscat 2 #14 Posted November 13, 2008 There may be plenty of those tractors there but I have NEVER seen one here in Ga.
CasualObserver 3,411 #15 Posted November 13, 2008 That's a trade you won't regret Jon! Nice find, and of course, once you get it home! There's plenty of other Suburbans out there to find. Not the same story on the 4-wheeled wagon. They were made for more than 10 years, but I'd say they're one of the more difficult to find attachments. It would be interesting to know how many wagons are known to be out there. I have one, my BIL has one, I know BP has at least one, and Jon will have one tomorrow. Anybody else here have one? Tennessee Country Boy 0 #19 Posted November 13, 2008 That is a good trade. Wagons are hard to find. Everything is hard to fine here in Tennesse. Had a man from Ga. call me wanting a 4 wheel wagon. Had to tell him that mine was not for sell. Keep those Wagons Rollin-------WheelHorse :horseplay:
bell 11 #20 Posted November 13, 2008 Just talked to the guy about the wagon.... As someone suggested, I'm going to buy it outright. He saw that I really didn't want to get rid of the Suburban... (I am kind of partial to it, it started this addiction) With christmas right around the corner, money is tight right now.... He said that all I had to do was say that I wanted it and he would not sell it to anyone else. He said he didn't care if it was March until I paid/ came and got it, it would still be there!!!! So, I'll have pics, but it will be a month or three.... :hide:
