prondzy 3,867 #1 Posted June 7, 2015 Does anyone know of a source for the 953 tie rod ends or ball joints that goes from the ross steering gear to the front spindle? 953 nut 51,899 #2 Posted June 8, 2015 (edited) I had that same problem on one of my 953s a few years ago. I picked up a couple of 1/2" fine thread steering ball joints from Agri Supply (part number 45-114).I put them along side the drag link to decide where to cut the ends off, after cutting I ground them down to about 1/2" diameter than threaded them to 1/2-20 and screwed the new ends on. I had to put a small spot of weld on the end of the shaft that goes to the steering gear to keep it tight and in the proper alignment, the other end that goes to the pittman arm I just tightened in the correct position.
