RollingOnTheWheelHorse 0 #1 Posted June 4, 2015 (edited) I just picked up a B-115 with a mower deck and plow. after some attention and tweaking I have it galloping across the lawn very well.Just a couple issue I hope you can point me in the right direction to correct.1) Mower deck belt wills tart to smoke and eventual shred after moving for a while. I Used the belt from the guy who I bought it from so I have no idea what size it is now because its 1/2 as round and pretty well burned up.2) Deck lift cable is on the deck but I have no idea how to connect it to the lift arm. I think its a 36"RD deck and I can't imagine they expect you to adjust the Deck height with just that little arm on the right side of the deck.3) It came with a plow and I have no idea how to connect it.I have a little over 2 acres to mow and I have been paying a kid $50 to mow it for me. I got it for $50 so the 1 mow I got off b4 the belt burned up paid for it(less the new battery and $5 in new bolt) Edited June 4, 2015 by RollingOnTheWheelHorse

953 nut 59,925 #3 Posted June 4, 2015 Congratulations, you got a great deal on the "B". Should be a belt routing decal on the deck, make sure it is going where it should. Also, check each blade to make sure it turns freely as well as the belt idler and give the spindles a few shots of grease. If the plow you are speaking of is a snow plow there should be a pair of brackets on the rear axle that the rear of the plow hooks to, the lift that lifts your deck will also lift the plow. Let us know how it works out, and remember .
RollingOnTheWheelHorse 0 #4 Posted June 4, 2015 (edited) Perhaps it is a B-112?Garry It is a 02-11BP02 B-115 with the 11HP B&S made in 1980I have the parts and operators manuals for the Horse just no label on the Deck or Plow.Connecting the deck was pretty straight forward. The belt burning only happened after I attempted to mow with the motor @ a Higher RPM. Keeping it low RPM it worked fine but who wants to mow slower than I could push a hand mower lol. HAte to waits $20 on a belt that is not the correct size.As for the plow I have found nothing here nore on google on how to connect it to the Horse. And if you mean I found and used the Search Tool Edited June 4, 2015 by RollingOnTheWheelHorse
RollingOnTheWheelHorse 0 #5 Posted June 4, 2015 Congratulations, you got a great deal on the "B". Should be a belt routing decal on the deck, make sure it is going where it should. Let us know how it works out, and remember . I will look @ the Rear Axle for someplace to mount the SNOW plow. I was hoping someone had one with pics to show how it connects. The belts on the Deck are fine and I did oil and grease them up. It is the belt running from the PTO to the deck this is burning up. I can't see how the deck could be more free I can turn everything by hand with little effort by hand. There is a lift cable on the deck but it is connected on both ends to the deck. I was hoping it was able to be connected to the lift level mechanism. But again not diagrams in the books on howto connect the deck either. as for stickers those are long gone and of no help. I got lucky finding the SN because it was under the modified seat and didn;t get rusted/weathered.

stevasaurus 23,277 #7 Posted June 4, 2015 (edited) Welcome to Red Square...here is a link that has the numbers for attachments for your horse. You can use these numbers to search in the manual section.http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/3610-tractor-1980-b-115-5-speed-da-tiplpdf/Your snow blade does not attach to the rear axle on your horse...that blade could/should be #06-42BB01.http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/2867-blade-dozer-42in-1980-1982-06-42bb01-snow-tiplpdf/The above file does not look like your snow blade...this file is a lot closer to yours and will give you an idea how it mounts....check this out...:)http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/1984-blade-dozer-42in-1980-06-42ba01-snow-om-810014r1pdf/This manual is even closer to the one you have... RollingOnTheWheelHorse 0 #8 Posted June 4, 2015 Cool thank you all I got the blade figured out looks like I have some Fabrication to do in order to replace the missing parts and make it fit the B-115(1980) looks like the plow is a (1975-1978) with missing parts. As for the Deck the height adjustment works but it is not connected to the left level on the horse.http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/3097-mower-rotary-42in-rd-1980-1981-05-42xr01-tiplpdf/ (10) 104524 TRUNNION-CLUTCH ROD on the 2nd page is connected to (25) 107431 ASSY-GAGE WHL SUPT on the 4th page.(10) has a Hairpin cotter so I assume it was intended to be removed with ease? Should (10) be connected to (16) on page 1 or 2 "Attachment Lift" this diagram http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/3610-tractor-1980-b-115-5-speed-da-tiplpdf/Or am I missing a cable (19)? RollingOnTheWheelHorse 0 #9 Posted June 4, 2015 Never Mind as I looked @ the Dack 1 more time I do see a PIN on (22) 106372 Bracket Guide in http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/3097-mower-rotary-42in-rd-1980-1981-05-42xr01-tiplpdf/I think I am missing the cable (19) on the horse Attachment lift.I called around and no one has this cable because the "Mower is too old buy a new one" attitude Looks like I will have to make something for that as well.Even so it was a well invested $
stevasaurus 23,277 #10 Posted June 4, 2015 Pretty much the horse just drags around the deck and the parts on the top of the deck are what is used for leveling. The lift lever has nothing to do with leveling the deck...it just lifts it up enough to get over the lip in your garage. The deck is attached under the frame somewhere and the deck wheels do the rest. It is that simple. Your issue is that you have a vertical shaft engine...not many of us have those. They are considered lawn mowers rather then garden tractors...and were made for that. There are a bunch out there but the ratio is not as good as the horizontal shaft engines. This means that it might take a little longer to get a good answer to your question because you really need a vertical shaft guy to see your post and answer it. I do not have one of those...I spent about 2 hours today going through manuals trying to help you and point you in a direction. Hope that helps you.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,474 #11 Posted June 4, 2015 Search the Downloads and Files using your 02-11BP02 model number and many will come up including service bulletins.Garry
