RM-3261 rear discharge deck - need info and picture

Recommended Posts

RedRanger

Just bought a 401 that came with the 3261 deck.

Problem is the deck was disassembled 5+ years ago, refinished and painted.

Parts came to me in two boxes and a few baggies of bolts.

I've printed the manual and studied the exploded view.

I think I'm missing a pivot link and maybe a spring or two to tension the clutch.

I'm also not sure if I have the correct deck lift link or exactly what the assembled version should look like.

Here is a pic of the parts in question.  I also have all the housing, bearings, spindles, gears etc. but that all looks to be complete.

The item circled in white is a Pivot Link.  Should I also have one of these where the white X is?

Is the black clutch link the correct one?  It seems too long?

Where do the tension springs attach?

Does anyone have a picture of an assembled 3261?

Thanks folks!

Thanks Garry-I've already reviewed those and studied and printed the 1961 version.  I'm hoping for an actual photo of a 3261 assembled.

Can't find one anywhere on the web that shows the middle of the deck with all the components.

I think I'm missing item #52 on the chart-one of the pivot links WH#3722 and my clutch linkage just doesn't look like it belongs.

I definitely need one of the pivots if anyone has one, but can anyone confirm what length the clutch connecting rod should be?  The one that I have is way too long.

Also, does anyone have pictures of the correct setup for the belt guard brackets?  Mine has been mutilated.
Thanks.
