dlashb40 44 #1 Posted May 12, 2015 Before I post, would like to know if this forum can be used to possibly sell old Wheel Horse Tractors? Our family has 4 of them with many parts too. If not, can someone direct me to the proper forum/website. Thank you, Doug.
bmsgaffer 2,053 #2 Posted May 12, 2015 Welcome! Yes it can, list them in the "For Sale" section below. They must have a asking price listed ("make me an offer" is not allowed; "$xx OR best offer" IS allowed) There are some WH fans in Florida that will probably be excited to see this. From what I understand there arent a lot of them down there. http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/forum/9-for-sale/

dlashb40 44 #4 Posted May 12, 2015 Thank you for your immediate response. I have other questions regarding the tractors. Could I chat with you via email? Mine is dlashb40@bellsouth.net Thanks again.
chorusguy 227 #5 Posted May 12, 2015 You can but I am pretty ignorant compared to the wealth of information you can find from other members Chorusguy@AOL.com
KC9KAS 4,744 #7 Posted May 12, 2015 You can't sell them here, but you can give them to me..
Racinbob 11,989 #8 Posted May 12, 2015 Did I hear Florida!?!? Brandon is right, there's not a lot of us down here. Doug, we're a bit apart with you being in the Miami area and me just north of Orlando. I don't know what you'd like to discuss that can't be posted here but I'll send you a quick email so you'll have mine as well. Just know that all the folks here are great and not only love Wheel Horses but love to help others. You found the best forum there is for our beloved little red tractors.

953 nut 60,362 #10 Posted May 13, 2015 You would be surprised how much help you can find on The Square. If you have a question and ask one member via private message you may get one answer, post it on the forum and you will get several (some may contradict each other ). Also, use the search function and you may find the answer without having to ask. Shouldn't be a problem selling in Florida, when I lived there I always had to travel to find one. Good luck and remember;
boovuc 1,090 #11 Posted May 13, 2015 Ask your questions as posts right here on this board if it's a general question. More specific questions can be directed to the other forum topics if it is a question about "Transmissions", "Engines", "Electrical", "implements", etc. There is a wealth of info and it's best to post on the forum rather than PM or email so you get more than one opinion. You can ask values of tractors you have but contrary to Rod Stewart, "Every Picture doesn't necessarily tell a story" or the whole story on a tractor for sale. Where you live, the rarity of the machine, condition both physical and mechanical and if it's been modified or is all stock or if it's all there. use the search functions for a model you may have and read up on the past posts. Check out the manuals and the pictures of the models our members have. Remember.....no question is stupid. And above all.............................. We're glad you found us!

Goood Evening Years ago say 30/40 I used to buy the PTO clutch face material with a special glue. You would clean the steel backing surface put the bonding glue on it then place the clutch material on the glued backing plate and clamp the set up and then put it in the oven for about an hour. Worked very well Does any one know of a kit like this is still around or know of anyone who would resurface the pto clutch plate. Please let me know. I am running out of used ones. I have seen some try to rivit them on but I cannot find even the clutch material to do that. If I could find clutch material I think I could come up with the bake on glue Thanks Steven Edited May 10, 2020 by electro12 miss spelling and better verbalism
Racinbob 11,989 #13 Posted May 11, 2020 PM @rednos He has (or had) a bunch of NOS clutch plates as well as just the liner. With the rivit on style he included new rivets.
