econo 32 #1 Posted May 11, 2015 Hello guys and thanks for all the previous help with my 855 tractor. Looking over the transmission I am unable to find a plug to check the fluid level. I see the drain plug on lower rear left of unit. Also from the manual I see it may require straight 40 weight? Thanks Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Terry M-(Moderator) 2,227 #2 Posted May 11, 2015 (edited) That lower left plug you see is the fill plug. the drain plug is underneath flush with the bottom of the case. I believe your tractor has the 5049 or 5053 trans/ unidrive(basically the same) and should take up to 1.5 quarts of 90 wt. gear lube. if the gear lube is up to the level of the fill plug hole, you should be good with that level.
