rmaynard 16,293 #15 Posted May 10, 2015 Thursday is an "unofficial" day. Lots of settin' up, and settlin' in. Then Friday the show officially opens. Usually there is a parade on Friday and a round-up of the featured horses. As the evening approaches, there is an ice cream social. That is followed by "crusin to the oldies" as the sun starts to set. In between all that is just plain socializing, cruising, buying, selling, trading, and whatever. Somewhere in the morning or early afternoon we try to get a RedSquare group photo. Saturday features another parade, another RedSquare group photo try, and general mayhem and mischief. The raffles begin around 2 pm, and after they are over, folks start to pack up and get ready to leave. In my opinion, that's when the best deals are found if you are buying tractors and parts. But in my opinion, if you only have one day to spend there, Friday is the best.
