mmmmmdonuts 274 #1 Posted May 6, 2015 (edited) I have a 48 inch mower deck (5-1481) for my Raider 12 and my the clip that holds the back axle on is broken. It is part number 6724 (Item 74) and was wondering if people have used any other clamps or clips to hold the axle in. I was wondering if some electrical conduit clamp (or something else) would be strong enough to hold it in or if I am better off just buying a new one online. Any ideas? Thanks. http://www.mowerpartpros.com/p/wheel-horse-parts/#/Toro_Consumer/SMS-425%2c_42%22_Sickle_Bar_Mower%2c_1967/PARTS_LIST_FOR_ROTARY_MOWER_MODEL_5-1481/SMS-425-6932-1967/A-5252-52520002-0001 *Edit added link to a diagram Edited May 6, 2015 by mmmmmdonuts
bmsgaffer 2,053 #2 Posted May 6, 2015 I would definitely post a wanted ad here. I am certain someone will have one of those in decent shape off a scrap deck that you can get for a fraction of what a new one cost.
Racinbob 11,975 #3 Posted May 6, 2015 I really doubt that a conduit clamp would hold up. Like Brandon said, post a wanted ad and I'd bet that you'll find one.
