Help needed to ID a Vac-Bagger

Recommended Posts

Guys

Need help identifying a vacuum bagger that I picked up today.

There's no ID tag so possibly it was stuck on and came off.

Not certain if these were made by WH or bought in from another manufacturer but the paint is original and almost certainly WH red that's acquired that orange tint in the sun. The hose adapter fits a 42" SD deck perfectly.

PO took it off a WH he bought some years back and it's been dry stored ever since. Its been repaired in a couple of places  but the tin work is sound with surface rust only. The fan shaft turns ok.

Any help with model info appreciated.

Andy

Have managed to identify that it's a genuine Wheel Horse product from a 1970s brochure.

Does anyone know the product code? I'm guessing it's probably one that Toro have lost the documentation for.

Hello Andy hope your well, I can't help you with any numbers but can verify it's :wh: as I clearly remember it offered as an accessory in '93 attached to a 416 in a sale brochure. This was the same year I purchased my 318 new. It certainly looks heavy duty.....have you got all the parts, as I don't see the belt guard. If not I may be able to help you out as I have one that I kept when I sold a 518 a few years ago, just shout if your interested.

Thanks for the info, the year is another potentially useful reference point in my search. The tractor the bagger came off was a 312-8 and my guess is that the belt guard is still on the tractor so yes, I'm looking for a belt guard - I'll send a pm.
