IvanM 1 #1 Posted April 23, 2015 I have a Wheel Horse 633 with a Kohler K141T engine. Unfortunately the piston rod broke due to a low oil condition last season. (Shame on me!). The cylinder bore is 2.875. The only replacement piston I can find on line is 2.975. I believe the crankshaft can be salvaged. I am going to see if I can get the block bored out unless anyone has a better idea. I really want to get this tractor running again. It is the same tractor I mowed our lawn with 50 years ago. I would love to be able to pass this amazingly durable tractor on to one of my grandchildren. All suggestions appreciated.
buckrancher 2,694 #2 Posted April 23, 2015 you can find the parts on e-bay if you keep checking but you can bore out to the std size for the 2.975 bore with no problem Brian
IvanM 1 #3 Posted April 23, 2015 Thanks Buckrancher, I have looked on ebay but no luck on that size piston. Next stop the machine shop.
953 nut 59,408 #4 Posted April 23, 2015 Welcome, no one likes to hear that a fellow owner has had a problem, but we are all glad to know you plan to keep your old faithful horse in the family. Good luck and keep us posted.

IvanM 1 #6 Posted May 1, 2016 Ok, unfortunately life has been busy and I haven't found a local small engine shop that could do the necessary work to restore the engine. "Plan B", can anyone recommend a new engine that would be a suitable replacement for the old K141T Kohler engine that wouldn't involve too much frame modification? I would like to get this tractor running again this summer.

IvanM 1 #8 Posted May 1, 2016 Thanks Shynon but the Kohler K series has been retired. I was thinking a new model that I could retrofit.
