Bigpat5123 28 #1 Posted April 17, 2015 I just bought a 06-42ST04 snowblower for my 312-8. Its in really good shape, just needs a new belt and discharge chute cable. This is the model with the steel cable that turns the discharge chute. My question is directed to anyone that has this blower or used one in the past. In reference to the auger shaft, the chute goes about 110* to the left and only goes about 70* to the right past center on the one I bought. Looks like the cable setup limits the range ? Is the cable setup incorrectly? Any input? Thanks Patrick
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,509 #2 Posted April 17, 2015 The number of turns of cable on the spool determine how far the chute will turn. Then they need to equal on each side of center on the spool with the chute straight ahead to be equal turn. Garry
Bigpat5123 28 #3 Posted April 17, 2015 Thanks, so short answer is if the cable is setup correctly it should do a equal left to right from center?
