JonOfMassachusetts 0 #1 Posted April 17, 2015 Hello, First post here. I just recently acquired a well kept 1996 520H with a 48" deck and ~900hrs. Separately I picked up a vac bagger for a 5xi, knowing that there were differences in mounting. The blower mounts to the deck as-is. Some work will be needed to make the belt shielding fit. The bag mount that rests on the hitch is the same. I just need to acquire/make brackets to transmission/seat mount. In comparing parts diagrams, I see the 520H bagger kit (79301) comes with a leveling bar for the deck that replaces the existing bar, whereas the 5xi kit (don't have the part # at the moment) comes with a giant counterweight that bolts to the right side of the deck. Any thoughts on using the counterweight vs getting the correct leveling bar? Jon Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,538 #2 Posted April 17, 2015 I heard from another member here that he had trouble with the 520 vac bagger not cutting evenly which may be that very same issue. I have a vac bagger on my 520HC and also a vac system that is a pull behind type with cart. Both have separate motors mounted to pull the clippings up from the deck. If you cannot figure out the bagger for the XI series I would be willing to work out a trade of some sort for either of mine. I am in CT. Good luck- Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
