Kenworth 0 #1 Posted April 17, 2015 Hello all first time poster here and new member from upstate NY. Just got a nice 520H, year 91-92 in great condition with 381 hrs... anyway I need some help. I read the owners/parts manual,& catalog, searched the net and for the life of me cannot find a part number or anything related to the deck blades (length/hole diameter). I need a new set of blades. The deck is a 48" SD. MODEL # 15-48sc03. Does anyone out there have a part#. I could only find "high lift" blades, but im looking for "low lift" or mulching blades. Kenworth 0 #2 Posted April 17, 2015 EDIT: the site I found that had "high lift" blades did NOT give any details to length, and hole/bolt diameter.

bmsgaffer 2,053 #5 Posted April 17, 2015 Speaking from experience, unless the deck was designed for mulching blades (WH side discharge decks were not) stick with the high lift blades. I tried switching to oregon gators and the results were bad. First off, it didn't mulch that much so I still had to sweep when the grass was tall. Then the deck didn't have enough lift to stand the blades up and so when I went over the yard with my sweeper it looked like I cut the yard with a string trimmer. Your mileage may vary. Some guys on here will bolt a second blade 90* offset from the first (for a total of 6 blades) and have had good luck with that. I have not yet tried this method, so I cant comment on it myself.
