Exhaust bracket.

I am looking for suggestions for installing a brace for supporting a heavier vertical muffler and rain cap on my '66 W.H. 606/656.

I have items but before installing I have concern of vibration/ weight of unit. Photos, if you have, would be easier than

explaining. Thanks for any feedback. :)

I do not use a vertical stack on any of mine, but if I did and needed to support it, I would remove a couple of head bolts and replace them with studs, like those used to support the generator. Then I would make a heavy-duty bracket with clamp to support the pipe.

Although thinking about it, the hood would interfere. In that case scratch my idea. I guess that's why Wheel Horse never made a vertical pipe muffler.

Am I missing something? Is there something not shown in the pic that's tied to the frame or engine block to stabilize the vertical pipe from the clamps where vibration would be the highest?

Looks like there is a brace from the block to the first clamp. Nicely done.

Thank you. You have given me ideas and I have some stock to shape a similarity. I have a Honda clone 13hp. from HF. A few twists and it will work. I hope! :)
