looking for info on raider 10

Hi all! I'm new to wheel horse tractors. I picked up a raider 10 and know nothing about it. I've collected cub cadet and john deere garden tractors for many years and really want to be able to use this tractor like my others. I can't pull up the manuals section on my phone, so any info I get will be very much appreciated!!!

Welcome to Red Square.  :)  Raider 10's were made from 1968 to 1972.  The model number (I think on the dash tower just below the gauges) will tell you which year it is.

1-6041...1968

1-6041...1969  Something going on with this and the above number.

1-6051...1970

1-0300...1971

1-0301...1972...this is the one I have.

1968 thru 1971 has the 10 pinion, limited slip differential...choice of hi or low with 3 gears forward and 1 back...1 1/8" axle diameters.

1972 has the Wheel Horse #5086 transmission...it has the hi/low set up but has 1" axles with a 4 pinion differential.

That is probably a good start until you find the model number.  :)

I thank you very much for the info! It's a 1970. I need to replace the cable for the rear lift and get a new battery in it. It has a Kohler 12 in it, don't think that's the correct motor.

Looks like someone replaced the motor...not a big deal...the 10 and the 12 hsp Kohlers are the same block.  Get a 10 hsp sticker for it and don't tell anyone.  :ychain:   nice horse and thanks for the pictures.  :)  I think you will love this horse. :woohoo:

You are not too far from a swap meet we are having in 2 weeks in Mentone, Indiana.  Why don't you see if you can come down a meet some of the guys a talk about your horse.  You could find that part you need.  Here is the link...

I wish I could attend that swap meet, but that is my birthday and my wife has something planned for that weekend that she won't tell me any details.

Gorilla...I just have to ask...Whose Birthday is it anyway?  :ychain:  It is the one day of the year when you get to do what you want.  :bow-blue:    :)

Just kidding, but you will not find another Wheel Horse swap meet as good as this one...except the WHCC show in Penn.  :)  Happy Birthday!!!
