js82181p 0 #1 Posted April 10, 2015 Hi All, I'm looking for any recommendations of a shop I could bring my 416-8 for some service? Ideally I'd like the oil changed, drive belt changed (looks like it's on its way out) and a good greasing. Let me know if anyone has a good shop in the area! Thanks, Jimmy

pinecone 26 #3 Posted April 13, 2015 there is a place just off rt. 6 before dandury from brewster. i think its called SSR. they do high end landscape machine repair but i have seen a few older horses outside to be worked on. i have used them for my chain saw as i bought it there. great place but i dought they are cheap, to nice a building. most here do the work themselves. give it try, if i can bluff my way through the basics anyone can. Forest Road 594 #4 Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) Have you considered doing any of the above mentioned on your own? Very basic simple maintenance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited April 14, 2015 by Forest Road
js82181p 0 #5 Posted April 15, 2015 Yeah, I've been toying with the idea of doing it myself. I usually change the oil and grease things up a bit every year, but I wasnt sure how bad of a time I'd have with trying to change the drive belt. Also this year I've got a 9 month old daughter who seems to be cutting into my time with the WheelHorse! SSR looks like a pretty serious operation, maybe I'll stop in this weekend and talk to them and try to get a quote. Karl, if you're interested in a side job, I can offer cash, home made wine, an old 48 inch deck that needs some TLC, or any combination of the 3! -Jimmy
