muz123 1,192 #2 Posted April 10, 2015 They sell plastic red ones on eBay that go over the front tire. It keeps grass or dirt from getting in the grease fitting.

tunahead72 2,543 #4 Posted April 10, 2015 colbyeast, I just went through this with my '86 310-8. You've probably already figured out that these caps (new) are nearly extinct. I found two on Amazon, but for the price they wanted I decided to get a pair from Glen Pettit -- these are very nice quality, with the Wheel Horse logo (unlike the originals, but a nice touch), plus you also get a pair of covers for the upper spindles, which keeps a lot of dirt/dust/water away from that area. Glen's very pleasant to deal with, quick turnaround, highly recommended. I didn't try any of my local Toro dealers, but you might get lucky and find one who still has a pair on the shelf. I don't know if these caps are a standard size, maybe a non-Toro dealer might have something that would work well and look nearly original. And I suppose you could find a good used pair, try putting an ad in the classifieds here. By the way, there's some good information in this (older) thread: And They sell plastic red ones on eBay that go over the front tire. It keeps grass or dirt from getting in the grease fitting. Do you have any details on these, maybe a link or a seller's name? Do they come in black or white too?
